Microsoft Outlook 2013 - IMAP
This guide is for the Windows and Mac program Microsoft Outlook, this guide does not cover the Office 365 version of Outlook nor any online email client.
Microsoft provides a number of email clients to access your emails via. Please note that your version of Outlook may not look visually the same as the screenshots featured in this guide however all versions of Outlook will set up according to the steps below.
Before following the below step by step guide, please find the email sent to you which contains your email settings.
Step by Step Guide
In Outlook, click the File tab from the main menu.
Make sure info is selected from the left menu and click Add Account.
Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.
Select POP or IMAP and click Next.
Fill in your account details.
Your Name: your name as you wish it to appear on outgoing email messages
E-mail Address: your email address
Account Type: select IMAP from the dropdown list
Incoming mail server: zimbra.protectedservice.net
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.protectedservice.net
User Name: your email address
Password: your email address password (found in the email we sent you with the subject line 'Webmail / IMAP - [Your company name]')
When you have entered the relevant details, click More Settings.
Click the Outgoing server tab and select the checkbox My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Ensure the radial button Use same settings as my incoming mail server is also selected.
Click the Advanced tab.
Select SSL as the encrypted connection type for the incoming server and set the port number to 993.
Select TLS as the encrypted connection type for the outgoing server and set the port number to 587.
Click OK and then click Next.
Outlook will now test the settings you've entered.
If correct, click Close and then click Finish in the following window.
