A favicon is a small image representing a site that is shown on the browser tab for the site and when the site is bookmarked. For example, itseeze.com has a favicon showing a white apostrophe on an orange background:

Creating a favicon

Favicons use a special image format called ICO. We recommend using the favicon.io site, which has helpful tools to create ICO files from images, text, or emojis. It will create a zip file containing several versions of your favicon, including a file called favicon.ico, which is the one you need.

Uploading the favicon

You can upload the favicon to your site by going to the Settings panel, clicking Favicon in the menu, selecting your favicon.ico file, and clicking Upload.
