EVEN MORE SPACE! NEW STORAGE LIMITS FOR MAX AND COMMERCE WEBSITES
We’re delighted to announce that all Max and Commerce clients can now enjoy the added benefit of increased storage space with immediate effect.
The file upload limit has increased from 0.5GB to 1GB and the image upload limit has changed from 0.5GB to 5000 images – that’s approximately 3000 more images!
If you’re currently an it’seeze Lite customer and would like to take advantage of these new upload allowances, please contact your local consultant or call our Head Office team on 01803 407 470 to find out about upgrading. See the full benefits of our Max package here and our Commerce package here.
GREATER CONTROL WITH THE NEW MULTIMEDIA COMPONENT
We recently launched the new multimedia component, which introduced support for three new services – Spotify, SlideShare, and Screencast.
This new component also gives you much more control of the multimedia on your website, as you can now choose whether videos autoplay, if the video title is displayed, and what the colours of the video controls are.
Another key component recently received a makeover when the PayPal button component was replaced with the pay button component.
This new component allows you to add either a PayPal or a WorldPay button to your website, giving you more choice when it comes to taking payments quickly and securely online.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out our newsletter survey over the last few weeks.
We’ve received many brilliant ideas on how to improve this newsletter and we look forward to implementing these over the coming months.
Following the survey, the winners of the £100 Amazon voucher prize draw have now been chosen, and they are Joseph Welch Jewellers, P.A.ID Strategies, and Gas First - congratulations to you all!
YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
Q: How can I get my website ranking well on Google?
A: This is a question we’re often asked, and the short answer is that it’s going to take some time and effort if you really want to get your website appearing high up in the results for competitive search terms.
Search engine optimisation (SEO) is a long-term process, but it is worth the effort if you’re serious about getting your website in front of more people – this is why many people choose to pay for SEO services to give their website a boost.
The good news is that there are plenty of things you can put into practice right now to ensure that you’re giving your website its best chance of reaching more potential customers – here are a few to get you started:
List your website on business directories – Make sure your business is listed in as many local and industry-specific online directories as possible. These are often free to join, and can help get your business in front of people looking for your specific products or services, who are then more likely to click through to your website. Quality links back to your website and a high click-through rate are both good ways of boosting your ranking in Google.
Check your name, address, and phone number (NAP) – If your business is already listed in lots of places on the web, then check to make sure that your contact information is correct. Google values consistent information, so any outdated business details could be holding your website back.
Target longtail keywords – Instead of trying to rank well for highly competitive search terms, such as ‘plumber Birmingham’, try optimising your website for a longer, more specific phrase, such as ‘affordable plumber Birmingham’ or ‘emergency plumber Birmingham’. These keywords will be less competitive, so your chances of ranking well for these terms will be much higher.
Promote your business on social media – Take the time to set up a Facebook business page or a branded Twitter account and share links to your website alongside useful information about your products and services as well as industry insights. This will help more people find your website, and will increase your click-through rate which can help to boost your Google ranking.
