Some users are currently experiencing an issue with setting up their email in Outlook and/or sending emails. We believe this may be a bug with the Outlook app and we are currently in conversation with Microsoft to identify the issue and hopefully find a fix.

 

This guide is for the Outlook mobile app.


Before following the below step by step guide, please find the email sent to you which contains your email settings.


Step By Step Guide

Step 1. Open the Outlook app on your device and click 'Get Started' 




Step 2. Enter your email address and click 'Add Account'



Step 3: Select IMAP










Step 4. Enter your password and a display name (who people will see emails coming from). Then click 'Use Advanced Settings"




Step 5. Enter the following instructions (also shown in the screenshot)


Email Address - Your email address

Display Name - Who people will see emails coming from

Incoming Server (IMAP Hostname) - Zimbra.protectedservice.net:993

IMAP Username - Your email address

IMAP Password - The password for your email address (that we sent to you)


Outgoing Server (SMTP Hostname) - smtp.protectedservice.net:25 or 587

SMTP Username - Your email address

SMTP Password - The password for your email address (that we sent to you)


And then finally click 'Sign In'



Step 6: Choose whether or not to add another account




Step 7. Complete
